This is the company that Jack built. You see, Jack, our gentle, noble and dignified Rhodesian Ridgeback was also thermally fragile and rain averse. It's a long way from roaming the African savannah to living in the mountains of New Zealand, splendid as they are, and while it's a great place to be a dog it is not the ideal place for someone with such frailties and aversions as our Jack.
Jack needed some outdoor gear, and he needed stuff that was befitting his nature as well as his stature. We searched and searched and came up with things that looked more like horse covers and halloween costumes than gear fit for a Dog of his kind. So we made our own, and it was good ... nay, it was excellent. He loved it, we loved it and the people who stopped us in the street loved it.
If you're reading this you're probably one of those sorts that would do pretty much anything for your dog. We know people who've cancelled their weddings to pay for cruciate surgery for their dogs, who've refused to take cushy jobs on account of the fact that their dog can't come to work with them; who have given up their back seats, sofas, beds, clean floors and sparkling windows for their dogs.
Thanks to Jack and his need for a warm jacket we gave up a comfortable life with safe jobs and medical benefits, regular holidays, office morning teas and all-you-can-eat-and-drink Christmas functions. It was the best thing we've ever done!
