The Pack Privacy Policy   
D-fa Dogs believes that looking after each other in what can sometimes be a dog-eats-dog world. This includes respecting and protecting the privacy of our customer or partner information - whether collected online, via email or off line - in any part of the world. Our strict privacy policy is noted below and is rigorously enforced by our team and their highly trained guard dogs.  

After you have read this - if you have any issues at all at about how we hold or manage any personal information about you - please email growl@d-fa.com  

D-fa Dogs only collects personal information that you have voluntarily provided and that is specifically related to our business or understanding our customers better – for example your feedback on your dog, sizing and outdoor equipment. 

We will not sell your personal information to a 3rd party. Information on D-fa Dogs customers or business partners is only used by D-fa Dogs for D-fa Dogs related business. 

Only D-fa staff that need to have access to personal information have access. All our staff are aware of our privacy commitments and the importance of following them.  D-fa Dogs operates a clear ‘opt in’ subscription policy for email communication. All new customers must specifically give us their email address and be aware we are sending them a D-fa Dogs email newsletter. 

Any person, customer or partner may permanently ‘opt out’ at any time from our email newsletters by clicking the prominent ‘Unsubscribe’ button. We will not send them email newsletters or other marketing related messages again.

Opting In and Out
D-fa Dogs operates a clear ‘opt in’ subscription policy for email communication. All new customers must specifically give us their email address and be aware we are sending them a D-fa Dogs email newsletter.  

D-fa Dogs customers (ie: those who have purchased a D-fa Dogs product and responded to our invitation to join the pack) or business partners with whom we have a direct and ongoing relationship may be added to our email newsletter database list as part of our communication – however you may opt out at any time.  

If you provide us with personal information about you, you should advise us on info@D-fa Dogs.co.nz if the information changes, so we can update our records.  We may contact you from time to time to check that information we hold is still accurate.

Collection, Use and Management of Your Personal Information
D-fa uses the information provided by you or generated by your use of the website to provide you with any services or goods you may request from D-fa. D-fa also uses information collected from you to assess the performance of the website and to ensure that the website serves your needs in the most efficient manner possible.   

1. Providing Information: You agree that D-fa may provide any personal information it collects about you to its related companies (as defined in section 2(3) of the Companies Act 1993 (NZ)), debt collection and credit reference agencies and any other parties it deems necessary in relation to providing you access to this website, for any services you acquire or goods you purchase from D-fa, to recover any money you owe to D-fa and to exercise any lawful right D-fa, its related companies or debt collection and credit reference agencies may have. You also authorise any person to provide D-fa with such information as D-fa may require in response to credit enquiries.   

2. Statistics: Although D-fa may use and publish non-personal aggregate statistics and group data about those people who access this website and their usage of the website, subject to the further terms of this Privacy Policy, D-fa will not share or make public information about you without your prior permission.   

3. Accessing Information: You are entitled to access any information that D-fa may hold about you and D-fa is obliged to provide this information to you as long as it has such information and such information can be readily retrieved. You are also entitled to request D-fa correct any inaccuracies in any information that D-fa holds about you. D-fa is entitled to charge you for the reasonable costs of retrieving, providing this information and as applicable correcting this information.   

4. Disclosing Information: You also agree that D-fa is entitled to disclose information it holds about you without your prior permission if D-fa reasonably believes that such disclosure is necessary to:

  1. Conform to legal requirements;
  2. Comply with legal process or help to maintain the law;
  3. Protect D-fa’s rights or property or that of D-fa’s related companies; or
  4. Enforce the Terms and Conditions of access to this website.
Personal details will only be used by D-fa Dogs and will not be sold to any third party at any stage. We may disclose personal information that we collect and retain about you to third parties but only for the purposes identified in this policy or to which you have consented, or when we are required to do so by law.  If we provide any contact details to our contracted suppliers who are responsible for processing our mail-outs, we require those suppliers to agree to use that the information only to fulfil that purpose, and not to retain the details once that purpose has been fulfilled. All issues related to the privacy and management of information we collect online or via email is governed by the laws of New Zealand. 5. Combining Information: D-fa may combine any information that it collects from you with information collected by its related companies. 

6. Storage: You should be aware that information which D-fa collects from you maybe stored or processed outside of New Zealand.  

7. Data Transmission: Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as totally secure. Whilst D-fa strives to protect such information, we do not warrant and cannot ensure complete security of any information that you transmit to us. Accordingly, any information that you transmit to us is transmitted at your own risk. Nevertheless, once we receive your transmission, we will take reasonable steps to preserve the security of such information. 

8. Waiver: If D-fa waives any rights available to it under this Privacy Policy on one occasion, this does not mean that those rights will automatically be waived on any other occasion.   

9. Severability: If any provision of this Privacy Policy is held to be invalid, void, unenforceable or illegal for any reason, such provision shall be deemed to be severed from this Privacy Policy and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.

Web Monitoring and Cookies
Collecting Information: Whenever you access this website, D-fa will collect the following types of information from you:

  1. The IP address of your machine when connected to the internet and the domain name from which you are accessing the internet;
  2. The operating system and the browser your computer uses and any search engine you are using;
  3. The date and time you are visiting; and
  4. The URL’s of the pages you visit, as well as any other information you may explicitly provide in the course of accessing the website, such as your name, gender, email address and other personal details such as telephone number.
  5. D-fa also reserves the right to collect more extensive information where it deems such action is appropriate, such as in the case of any security concerns which may arise. Where possible, information will be obtained directly from you. However, you acknowledge that by accessing the website information may be collected from you as a result of the workings of the website and the attached systems and software.
  6. D-fa may also place cookies on your computer. Cookies are alpha numeric identifiers which are transferred to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser to enable D-fa to recognise you whenever you access this website and therefore better personalise your access of the website. A cookie does not identify you personally but it does identify your computer.
